A few years ago I (Gloria Nichol-Rodale) traveled to Scotland to research my family and spent a great deal of time in the countryside. While there I came across a cemetery that was quite large that had a listing of the stones. If you have traveled there you know that the stones contain a LOT of information about the family. At any rate I copied 4 pages of data I had hoped to connect to my family. In using the dcnyhistory.org website, and subsequent visits, to Delaware county I find that many, many names from the list I obtained in Scotland might be connected to Delaware County. The spellings are exactly as they appeared The office the document was found ( and I only copied those pages that might have had any of my relatives) was found in the graves registry outside of Hawick Scotland. --Gloria Nichol-Rodale - posted to this website September 27, 2010
