The following was taken from Masonville Library records of stone readings, and given to me for the Delaware County Genealogy and History Site by Helen (Ferry). Maybe some errors as stones are hard to read. This listing was hand written and I transcribed it to the best of my ability. Dawn Willis, July 24, 1998

NOTE --from Bruce Scott --posted here February 6, 2011: I am currently doing some research on Civil War veterans who lived or enlisted in Guilford. One of these was Simeon H Graves. He is listed above as the son of Nelson and Lois Graves from Masonville. Apparently there is a stone in Whitman Cemetery indicating his death. I found that he is buried in Arlington National Cemetery on the find-a-grave site as memorial # 32027823. He is listed as Pvt. Simeon H Graves. It is not unusual that families put a stone closer to them at that terrible time.
