Note from Tamara Sanford: On a recent genealogical excursion to the New Kingston area in late May (2002), I made a stop at this cemetery in search of my Sanford ancestors. Of note: the Sanford headstones I saw there were as follows: ONE TALL HEADSTONE/MONUMENT:
Sarah M. Faulkner wife of C.D. Sanford .
b. August 5, 1830 d. April 23, 1892.
C.D. Sanford b. November 17, 1830 d. February 16, 1907.
(C.D. is Cornelius D. Sanford)
Susan J. dau of C.D. and S.M. Sanford born May 28,1859 died March 26, 1861.

*Note: Leslie is the grandson of George Sanford and Martha Streeter. Great Grandson of C.D. Sanford and Sarah M. Faulkner. *

There is another Sanford headstone for George Sanford and Martha Streeter, Martha is the w/o George. Their young son Luther's headstone is next to theirs in addition to their daughter, Iona. Iona was transcribed as Tina due to the age and condition of the stone.
Luther born 8 Mar 1900 died 24 Mar 1900, not inscribed in stone
Iona born 27 Jun 1882 died 4 Jul 1884, full dates not inscribed in stone

My connection to the Sanford's, Leslie H. is my great uncle. George and Martha are my 2nd Great Grandparents. C.D. Sanford and Sarah Faulkner are my 3rd Great Grandparents.
