Delaware County, NY Genealogy and History Site

Mondore Cemetery on Negro Hill

Memorial stone for Ransom Mondore (1816-1909) and Polly (1820-1914), located on Fannybrook Road (formerly Lutz Rd.), approximately 0.5 miles from Route 23, on the right side, up a steep bank, and approximately 200 feet into the woods. There is a row of maple trees along a stone wall perpendicular to the road up-hill from the monument and presumed gravesite. Reverse inscription: Rilley 1855-1856; Delia 1856-1857; Sarah H. 1862-1897; Eliza Ann 1867-1895; Anna 1867-1912; Harriet 1870-1896; Rosettia 1876-1896; Isabel 1906-1909.
