PECK FAMILY BURIAL GROUND
Submitted by Sharon Thomas, October 29, 2002
Note: Copied June 1996, by Dottie Sherman and Bette Frassa
As of 1996 the land is owned by Ernie Saccaro. In the 1800's it was owned and lived on by 3 Peck families. One family, in the Town of Roxbury, Delaware County, lived on the end of Kuhn Road. The foundations are still there, but soon to be bulldozed out. Next to the present residence of Mr. Saccaro, towards Grand Gorge, is an old foundation of a school, presumably the Peck District one referred to in the "History of Roxbury". An old house and falling down barn are behind Mr. Saccaro's which is in the town of Gilboa, formerly Blenheim, and behind that barn is the cemetery. Up Benjamin Road, also known as Cook Road, are foundations of the 3rd farm.
Rte. 23 Grand Gorge to Stamford, Jct. Delaware & Schoharie Counties.
