To The Surrogate of the County of Delaware.
THE PETITION OF Joshua W. Strickland in said county, respectfully showeth:
That Emory Strickland late of Meredith in said county, died on or about the
17th day of june 1884, having previously, as your Petitioner is informed and
believes, duly made and executed his last will and testament: That your
petitioner is an Exmediately previous to his death, was an inhabitant of
said county, and his Will relates to both Real and Personal Estate.
Your Petitioner further shows the heirs and next of kin of said deceased
are:
Mary C. Strickland widow of said deceased who is also executor in said will,
residing at Meredith Del. Co. NY.
Amanda Fitzgerald (a daughter) residing at Horseheads, Chenango Co. NY.
Celesta Houck (a daughter) residing at Croton, Del. Co. NY.
Daphony Betts ( a daughter) residing at Franklin, Del. Co. NY.
Cordelia Scott (a daughter) residing at Meredith Del. Co. NY.
Mary McFarlane (a daughter) residing at Afton, Chenango Co., NY.
Cally Haylett (a daughter) residing at Meredith, Del. Co. NY.
Emory L. Strickland ( a Son) residing at Meredith Del. Co. NY.
All of full age and of sound mind.
And your Petitioner further shows that the property of said deceased does
exceed the sum of two thousand dollars in value. Your Petitioner therefore
prays that said last Will and testament may be proved, and Letters
Testamentary granted thereon according to the law.

I, Joshua W. Strickland the petitioner named in the foregoing Petition,
being duly sworn, do depose and say that I have heard read the foregoing
Petition subscribed by me, and know the contents thereof, and that the
matters of fact therein stated are true; and the matters therein stated on
information and belief I believe to be true.
