Letters of Administration on the estate of Peter Launt, deceased
County of Delaware, NY
I, James Launt, of the County of Delaware, being duly sworn and examined do depose to say that I am the son of the said deceased. The said deceased departed this life at the town of Walton, Delaware County on the 23rd day of April 1870 without leaving any last will and testament to my knowledge, information and belief, that said deceased died a natural death and died ( ..)of personal property in the State of New York, the value thereof does not exceed the sum of about Seventy five dollars as I have been informed and believe.
That the said deceased left him surviving this deponent and the following named children:
Frederick W. Launt, residing at Walton, NY
Harmon Launt, residing at Walton, NY
Peter P. Launt, residing at Walton, NY
Robert Launt, residing at Colchester, NY
Elizabeth W. H (?), residing at Oxford, Chenango County, NY
Sarah A. H(?) residing at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY
and Harmon J. Launt and Sarah Launt children of Jacob Launt, deceased and grandchildren of said deceased interstate residing in Unadilla, Otsego Co., NY his only next of kin. That the said deceased did not leave a widow him surviving, that this depondents of full age, that said deceased was in his life time a farmer and was at or immediately previous to his death an inhabitant of the county of Delaware.
And I pray that letters of Administration be granted for the estate of said deceased by the surrogate of the County of Delaware NY to me.
