The Last Will & Testament of Dan Clark.
Proved & Recorded May 15, 1834
In the name of God. Amen.
I Dan Clark, of the town of Franklin, County of Delaware & State of New York, Considering the uncertainty of this mortal life; being weak of body, but of sound & perfect mind & memory, blessed be Almighty God for the same, do make & publish this my last will & testament in manner & form following. viz First I give & bequeath unto my beloved Wife Clarissa, the whole use & profit of all my real estate & property after paying my just & lawful debts which I am now owing, for & during her natural life, to be used for her use, benefit & maintenance, together with her aged & Honorable Mother Mrs. Keziah Wattles during the same or remaining my widow, and at her decease, [or Marriage] I will & order that my whole estate, both real & personal which shall then be remaining. Shall be equally & justly divided betwixed my four beloved children [or their heirs]. viz Charles Clark, Dan Clark, Violett Knapp and Orimel Clark. Secondly and lastly, I hereby make appoint & ordain, Abraham Squires of the said Town of Franklin, County and State aforesaid my sole Executer, of this my last will & testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand & seal the twenty sixth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four. Dan Clark L.S. Signed sealed, published & declared by the above named Dan Clark, to be his last Will & Testament in the presence of us, who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses in the presence of the Testator.
