To the Creditors, Legatees, and next of Kin of James Cathels, late of the town of Bovina in the County of Delaware, deceased, send Greeting:
You are hereby Cited to be and appear before our Surrogate of our said County, at his office in the village of Delhi, in said County, on the 11th day of January next, at ten o'clock in the forenoon, to attend the final settlement of the accounts of the Administratrix of the said deceased, which shall then and there be presented, and to abide and perform such decree as shall be by our said Surrogate made in the premises.

Of the town of Franklin in the County of Delaware, Greeting:
Whereas, Nancy Cathells, Administratrix of the Estate of James Cathells, late of the town of Bovina, in the county of Delaware, deceased, has made application to Edwin D. Wagner, Surrogate of our County of Delaware, to have the said Estate finally settled before the said Surrogate, pursuant to the Statutes of the State of New York. And Whereas, it has been satisfactorily made to appear that Mary Cathells, Hannah Cathells, William B. Cathells, and James J. S. Cathells, heirs of the said James Cathells are minors: I therefore, the said Surrogate, aforesaid, pursuant to the power in me vested by the said statutes, in pursuance of the order of my Court, before made and entered, do hereby appoint you, the said Robert T. Johnson of the town of Franklin, in the County aforesaid, guardian for the said minors, to take care of their interest in the premises.

To the Surrogate of the County of Delaware:
I, Nancy Cathells, of the town of Bovina, Count of Delaware, do render the following account of my proceedings as administratrix of James Cathells deceased, for final settlement and allowance:
On the 28th day of February, 1866, letters of Administration were issued to me. On or about the 28th day of April, 1866, I caused and Inventory of the personnal estate of the deceased to be filed in this office, which personal estate therein set forth amounts by appraisement, by the appraisers duly appointed, to $1497.38.
STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT.
The Adminstratrix charges herself with the amount of the property
of deceased contained in inventory, at appraised value................. $1497.38
Interest which has accrued on debts owing to the deceased...............

Leaving in the hands of the Administratrix $508.19 which consists of Stock, farming utensils Dairying utensils tc tc, which is on the Farm left by deceased and on which the Widow and Minor children now reside.
The names of the children and heirs are as follows. Mary Cathels, Hannah Cathells,
William B. Cathells, James J. S. Cahtells, all of whom are under 21 years of age and residing in Bovina, Del. Co., N.Y. and David D. Cathells over 21 years of age, residing at Bloomington, Grant Co., Wisconsin. children of deceased. all of the above named minors have a General Guardian except Mary Cathells (and Nancy Cathels is their General Guardian). Nancy Cathels, Widow residing at Bovina, Del Co. NY.

In the Matter of the Accounting of Nancy Cathels, Admix of James Cathels, Deceased.
County of Delaware, ss: I, Nancy Cathels, of the County of Delaware, being duly sworn, say that the charges made in the foregoing account of proceedings and schedules annexed, for moneys paid by me to creditors, legatees and next of kin, and for necessary expenses, are correct; that I have been charged therin all the interest for moneys received by me and embraced in said account, for which I am legally accountable; that the moneys stated in said account as collected were all that were collectable, according to the best of my knowledge, information and belief, on the debts stated in such account at the time of the settlement thereof; that the allowances in the said account for the decrease in the value of any assets, and the charges therein for the increase in such value, are correctly made; and that I do not know of any error in said account, or any thing omitted therefrom, which may in any way prejudice the rights of any party interested in said estate. And deponent further says that the sums under twenty dollars charged in the said account, for which no vouchers, or other evidences of payment are produced, or for which I may not be able to produce vouchers, or other evidences of payment, have actually been paid and disbursed by him as charged.

To the Surrogate of the County of Delaware:
The Petition of James Cathels of the town of Bovina in the county of Delaware, respectfully showeth:
That your petitioner is the son of James Cathels late of the town of Bovina in the said county of Delaware,
now deceased; that the said deceased died on or about the 6th day of January in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and sixty four that at, or immediately preceeding the time of his death, he was an
inhabitant of said county of Delaware; that he has left no Will as far as your petitioner has been able to
discover: That the said deceased left your petitioner his son the only heir and next of kin, and resident
of Bovina Del. Co., N.Y,
That in the opinion of your petitioner the whole amount of the personal property left by the said deceased;
was about twenty five Dollars.
Your petitioner therefore pray that letters of Administration upon the estate of the said deceased may be
granted to James Cathels, your petitioner and sole heir of the said deceased.

To Edwin D. Wagner, Surrogate of the Count of Delaware;
The petition of Nancy Cathels of the town of Bovina in said County, Respectfully Showeth; that she was
duly qualified and appointed by the Surrogate of the county of Delaware, as the Administratrix of the
Estate of James Cathels late of the town of Bovina in the county of Delaware, deceased, on the 28th day
of February in the year One Thousand, Eight Hundred and Sixty Six, And that eighteen months and upwards
have expired since such appointment; That the said deceased left the following heirs and next of kin, vis:
David D. Cathels, of Patch Grove, Grant Co, Wisconsin, a Son, Mary Cathels, Hannah Cathels, William B.
Cathels, James J. S. Cathels, all sons and daughter of deceased, residing in Bovina, Del. Co., N.Y. and
your petitioner his widow.
Your Petitioner Further Shows, That immediately after her appointment as such Administratrix, she entered
upon the duties of the trust thereof; and that she is prepared to render a final account of the proceedings
an such Administratrix. She therefore prays that a Citation may issue out of and under the Seal of this
Court, to be directed to all persons interested in the estate of the said James Cathels, deceased, requiring
them to appear in this Court, on a certain day to be therein specified, to attend the final accounts of your
Petitioner as such Administratrix aforesaid.
And your Petitioner will ever pray, &c.
