Uncle Niles - b 9/15/1886 to James Fairbairn and Mary Alton at Seager, Hardenburgh, Ulster Co. Married Lola Murray. Resided Margaretville and Lew Beach, Sullivan Co. Niles was a famous naturalist and hunter. He is pictured with his pet otter on his shoulder, which he trained and used in a Walt Disney film called "Flash, A Teenage Otter". Niles died about 1962 and is buried in the Margaretville Cemetery.
