I received your letter yesterday. It was really swell to hear from you. I know that all the other fellows will enjoy hearing from you too. I for one, hope that you continue to write. It is good to hear from someone from the old home town.
I imagine that it must be quite a bit different now. I can hardly imagine the place now with all the fellows gone. The last time I was home the town had changed a lot. It will really swell to get back.
Team work was important in all our sports. You taught us that. Over here that team work really counts too. I wish that you could see how fast the appearance of an island changes when the different Batts. all get pulling together. We are all one big team, Army, Navy Marines and the folks at home are our backers. We know that you are all on the sidelines cheering for our side and that really helps.
It would sure be nice to get all the fellows together again and have some ballgames.
Well I had better sign off and catch up on a few other letters. I hope that you write again soon.
