In the matter of God Amen I Andrew Reckie of the town of Harpersfield, County of Delaware and State of New York Yeoman being in a comfortable state of mind and memory thanks be to God for his great and may fold mercys to me calling to mind the mortality of the human family that it is appointed for all men once to die do this twenty-sixth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixteen make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner following (that is to say)
First: I give full power unto John Bangs, Noah Judson and to Submit Reckie my beloved wife to be the sole executors of this my will and Testament of all my Real and personal estate for them to dispose of agreeably to my will as shall be hereafter mentioned that is to say
First: I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Submit Reckie the one third of my Real estate during her natural life with the homestead and at her death disposed of as she thinks fit to my children and the remainder of my Real estate I bequeath to my beloved sons namely Thomas, John, (unreadable), Andrew Reckie proportionately equal and my personal property to school my children that are small and to set out my three daughters namely Susanna, Sally, Caroline to make them equal with the rest that are married and I bequeath to Polly Bangs and to Peggy Burrows and to Elizabeth Judson and to Elenor Manard and to Agnes Taylor for Jane Brownel to each and every one the sum of twelve shillings.
And I make and ordain John Bangs, Noah Judson and Submit Reckie my wife sole executors of this my will in truth for the intents and purposes in this my will contained and make my loving friends and overseers of this my will to take care and be the same performed according to my true intent and meaning.
In writing whereof I Andrew Reckie herein to this my last will and Testament set my hand and seal the day and year above written. Signed, sealed and delivered by the said Andrew Reckie as and for his last will and Testament in the presence of

In the matter of proving to be Recorded the last Will of the real Estate of Andrew Reckie late of said County deceased.
Delaware County ss
Samuel Andrews of the Town of Kortright in the County of Delaware aforesaid being full duly sworn deposes and says, that he saw Andrew Reckie deceased subscribe this instrument now shown him said deponent and which purports to be the last will and testament of said Andrew Reckie late of the town of Harpersfield in the County of Delaware aforesaid, deceased bearing date the twenty six day of March one thousand eight hundred and sixteen, that he heard the said Andrew Reckie declare the same to be his last will and Testament and that he this deponent did subscribe his name thereto as a subscribing witness at the request of the said Andrew Reckie and further that at the time thereof the said Andrew Reckie was of sound mind and memory of full age to execute said will and not under any restraint and further says not.

In the matter of proving and recording the last will of the real estate of Andrew Reckie deceased.
Delaware County ss
Elijah Churchill of the Town of Harpersfield in the County of Delaware being full duly sworn deposes and says that he is acquainted with the handwriting of Andrew Reckie late of said Town deceased and believes his signature to a paper now shown him purporting to be the last will and Testament of deceased bearing date the twenty six day of march 1816 is the signature and in the proper handwriting of the said deceased - and this deponent further says that he was formerly acquainted with Eli Scovill and John Dunniston whose names are subscribed as subscribing witnesses to said Will and Testament, that he understands and believes that both said Scovill and Dunniston are dead and further said deponent says that his is acquainted with the handwriting of Eli Scovill and John Dunniston severally and verily believes that their several signatures to said Will and Testament are in their own proper handwriting and further says not.
