The last Will & Testament of Isaac Goodrich.
Proved and recorded August 29, 1836.
The last will and testament of Isaac Goodrich of the Town of Hamden, in the County of Delaware, in the State of New York.
I Isaac Goodrich considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, and being of sound mind & memory blessed be almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament, in manner and form following, that is to say, First I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Sarah Goodrich, the one half of all my household furniture, two cows and also one horse, which above described goods and chattels she is to use & enjoy during her natural life.
I give and bequeath unto my youngest son, Hiram B. Goodrich all the rest residue, and remainder of my personal estate goods and chattels of what kind or nature soever to take possession of and enjoy after my decease.
I hereby give and devise unto my said wife Sarah, the one half of the house wherein I now live, and the right of using the one half of the barn, and the one third part of all my lands and tenements, and the rents,issues and profits thereof, for and during her natural life,and from and after the decease of my said wife I give bequeath and devise, the ______(illegible) tenements, land and hereditaments aforesaid together with all the goods and chattels aforesaid unto my son Hiram B aforesaid, which said legacy given to my wife as aforesaid, I hereby declare is intended to be in full & is so given in full satisfaction and recompense of & for her dower and thirds, which she may accrue in anywise claim or demand out of my estate.
I give and bequeath and devise all the rest and residues of my estate, both real and personal, which real or freehold estate is situated in the Town of Hamden, in the County of Delaware aforesaid, unto my son Hiram B aforesaid, his heirs and assignees forever.

From and after the decease of my wife Sarah aforesaid, my son Hiram B aforesaid is to be the sole owner of all the goods and chattels that she may leave of what shall remain at my decease, and also access, use occupy and enjoy, the house barn and other tenements to himself his heirs and assignees forever.
And lastly, I do hereby appoint my wife Sarah Goodrich, Executrix, and my son Hiram B. Goodrich executor of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal the nineteenth day of April one thousand and eight hundred and twenty seven.
Signed sealed published and declared by the above named Isaac Goodrich to be his last will and testament in presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses in the presence of the testator.

County, deceased in Delaware County, I Jabez Bostwick, of the Town of Hamden in the County of Delaware aforesaid, being first duly sworn deposes and says that he saw Isaac Goodrich, deceased, subscribed instrument now shown him, said Deponent, and which purports to be the last Will and Testament of said Isaac Goodrich, late of the Town of Hamden, in the County of Delaware aforesaid, deceased, bearing date the nineteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred & twenty seven.
______(illegible)he heard the said Isaac Goodrich declare the same to be his last will and testament, and that he, this deponent, did subscribe his name thereto as a subscribing witness at the request of the said Isaac Goodrich - and further that at the time thereof, the said Isaac Goodrich was of sound mind and memory, of full age to execute said will and not under any restraint, and further ____(illegible)not.
