Elisha & Elizabeth Allen are the grandparents of Esther Macomber/Macumber (b. 02/02/1794 in Washington County, NY), second wife of Matthew R Russell (b. 03/20/1774 in Loudoun, Ayr, Scotland). Matthew & Esther married 01/03/1826. Their children are Stephen Russell, b. 09/20/1827, Margaret Ann Russell b. 10/15/1829 & Roswell B Russell b. 08/16/1831. Matthew's children from his first marriage with Betsy Cummings were James, Matthew, William, Alexander, Margaret and John Grant Russell. --Kathy Russell Barnes
