Will of John K. Odell

I, John K. Odell of the Town of Davenport, County of Delaware and State of New York, being of sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this my last will and testament, in manner following, that is to say:-
First, I give and devise unto my beloved wife Harriet C. Odell, all of the Real estate that I may be possessed of at the time of my death, wherever the same may be, to have and to hold the same forever. Also I give and bequeath unto my said wife all my household furniture of every name and nature, to have and to hold the same forever. I also give and bequeath unto my said wife, the interest, or income from the sum of Three Thousand dollars during her natural life for her own use and support.
Second, I give and bequeath unto my two sons Moransee S. Odell and Augustus S. Odell, the said sum of Three Thousand dollars after the decease of my said wife, to be equally divided between them, share and share alike, and to their heirs forever. And lastly I nominate and appoint my said wife Harriet C. Odell, executor, and my son Moransee S. Odell, executor of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this 24th day of January 1889. J. K. Odell (L. S.)
Signed, published and declared by the said testator to be his last will and testament, in the presence of us, who have signed our names at his request as witnesses, in his presence and in the presence of each other.

I, Albert H Sewell, Surrogate of the County of Delaware, do hereby certify that the annexed last will and testament of John K. Odell, late of the Town of Davenport in said County, deceased was, upon due proof, admitted to probate as a Will valid to pass real and personal property at a Surrogate's Court of the County of Delaware, on the 20th of May, 1895. And I further certify that the said Will, and proofs taken in the relation to the execution thereof, are recorded in the Surrogate's Office of the County of Delaware, In Book of Wills, Vol. P, Page 57, Kept in my Office for that purpose. In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the Surrogate's Seal of the County of Delaware, this 20th day of May, 1895.

I, E. A. Clausen, Clerk of the Surrogate's Court of the County of Delaware, do hereby certify that I have compared the foregoing copy of the last Will and Testament of John K. Odell late of the Town of Davenport in said County, deceased, with the original record on file in this Office, and that the same is a true copy of such last Will and Testament, and of the whole of such original record. In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the Seal of the Surrogate's Court of the County of Delaware, this 20th day of May, 1895.
