A Copy of the Letter of Administration Granted on the Estate of Thomas Williams late of Walton in the County of Delaware Deceased.

The People of the State of New York by the grace of God and Independent of Elisha Williams and William Williams of the County of Delaware send greeting -

Whereas Thomas Williams late of Walton in the County of Delaware as is alluded lately died interstate having whilst living and at the time of his death Goods Chattels and Credits within this State by means whereof the ordering and Granting Administration of all and Singular the said Goods Chattels and Credits and also the auditing allowing and final discharging the Accounts thereof appertain unto us: And we living desirous that the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said Deceased may be will and faithfully Administrated applied and disposed of To grant unto you the said Elisha Williams and William Williams full power by those present to administer and faithfully dispose of all and Singular the said Goods Chattels and Credits to ask demand recover and revive the Debts which unto the said- Deceased whilst living and at the time of his Death did belong and to pay the Debts which the said Deceased did owe so far as such Goods Chattels and Credits- will thereafter extend and the law require: Hereby requiring You to make or cause to be made atrue and forfeit Inventory of all of the said Deceased which have or shall come to your Lands or knowledge and the same so made to exhibit or cause to be exhibited in the Office of the Surrogate of the said County of Delaware at or before the expiration of six calendar months from the date hereof and also render a just and true account of Administration when there unto require And undo the said Elisha Williams and William Williams as Administrators of all and Singular the Goods Chattels and Credits which were of the said Thomas Williams

Williams Deceased - In testimony whereof we have caused the Seal of Office of our said Surrogate to be hereunto affined Witness Anthony Marvine Esquire - Surrogate of the said County at Stamford the twelfth day of January in the year of our lord one thousand Eight hundred and Eight and of our independence the thirty Second .

Delaware County [ ] Be it remembered that on the twelfth Day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Eight personally came before me Anthony Marvine Surrogate of the said County of Delaware Elisha Williams and William Williams to whom I administrated and Oath in the words following to wit you and each of your do swear that Thomas Williams late of the town Walton in the County of Delaware Deceased Died without any will as far as you know or believe And that You will will and faithfully administer all and Singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said - Deceased and pay his Debts as far as his Goods - Chattels and Credits will thereto extend and the law require you: And that You will make or cause to be made a true and perfect Inventory of all and Singular the said Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased as also a Just and perfect account of your Administration and exhibit the Same within the time for that purpose prescribed - by law. ~ Anhony Marvine
