The photo is of my great, great grandfather Sanford (or maybe Samuel) Vanvolkinburg. The picture was taken in 1850 at Margaretville, N.Y.
Sanford moved to Pa. approximately 1864 and married Mary Ann Johnson. I found a "Sanford Vanvolkinburg" in Colesville, Broome County Ny but I don't have any verification that he is my g, g, grandfather. --Dana Valley, August 25, 2004 |
