Delaware County, NY Genealogy and History Site

This is a school photograph taken by Walton photographer Fred J. Betts. Unfortunately, the people and location were not identified, but based on Fred's work in the area, it was probably taken in or near Walton between 1905 and 1910. The origional photo is about 4"x6" and is so faded as to nearly gone. I'm donating it to the website with the hope that the image will survive -- and hope for identification of the school or people.

a later note- Bob Norton wrote: "The flag in the background is the 43 star flag which was only official from July 4, 1890 to July 4, 1891. Perhaps this picture is a bit older than your 1905-1910 estimate. The flag had changed twice by 1905 and the 45 star flag had been in use for 9 years by then."
