I believe the two following schools are the same school, just different names from 1905 to 1917. The school is still standing-sort of . It's a little house on the left hand side of the road just past Jones Hollow Road on Route 28. The school has had additions, but the main building still stands and you can see the old boards in the basement. I talked to John McMurry today, his father owned that house when he was a youngster and he doesn't remember his dad ever saying it was Hoffman corners, but he said Ms. Sliter was the teacher. We looked on the 1886 atlas and there is no Hoffman Corners on the map. If anyone has info PLEASE let me know. --Vesti Snyder, Historian Town of Middletown-Delaware County
