Delaware County, NY Genealogy and History Site

NEED HELP IN IDENTIFYING THIS HOMESTEAD
Here is one we cannot identify as to exactly where it is located. We think it could be the old Ballard Homestead possibly in Roxbury. There were family problems and the members in Clovesville apparently didn't get along to well with the ones in Roxbury. Midge, (my mother-in-law) said she didn't know anything about the photo. I think it shows a lot of history even if we never can find out where it is located.

Note, August 11, 1999: Gary Slauson contacted Linda recently stating the following:
"This house is located in the head of Vega and the picture was taken about 1905 when the Slauson family moved there. The people in the photo are my Grand & Great Grandfather Slauson. My father was born there in 1913."

Linda believes that Gary is on the right track because in her records Polly Ann Ballard, (daughter of Jonathan Ballard) married Harmon Slauson which would explain how the picture got into the family.
