Delaware County, NY Genealogy and History Site

The children of LaVerne and Nellie Couse Pearsall in 1913 are shown in this photograph (back row): Graydon and Helen; (front left to right): Glenn, Peter and Clarence. Another daughter, Ruth, was born in 1914. LaVerne and Nellie lived in the Masonville area with their children until around 1917 when records (World War I Draft Registration) indicate that the family had moved to South New Berlin in Chenango County, NY. LaVerne was a farmer and Nellie ran a boarding house.

Point of interest: Graydon's wife Ella Cope lived to be 104 years old and died on April 20, 2007 in Norwich, NY. Her mind throughout her entire life was extremely keen.
