Henry Murwin b. 3/2/1841 Tioga Cty, NY & Sarah (Bidwell) Murwin b. 7/20/1839 of Sidney, NY. Henry's parents were Jonathan Barlow Murwin b. 1801 South Walton & Harriet (Carley) Murwin. Sarah's parents were; Uriah Bidwell b. 3/14/1804 and his 2nd wife, Malvina Spencer b. 4/4/1816 in Unadilla. Sarah's grandparents were the first permanent white settlers in Sidney Center; Jacob Bidwell; b. 9/2/1767 & Martha Tompkins; b. 11/2/1767 and were from Connecticut. "He was born at Hartford, Connecticut and was a farmer. She was born at Watertown, Connecticut, where they were married. They later moved to Sidney Center, NY where they were the first permanent white settlers. They were admitted to the Baptist Church of Christ, Franklin, Delaware County, NY in 1802. Their first three children were born in Watertown, CT and the last ten in Sidney Center, NY". |
