Submit Reckie applied Feb. 6, 1840, age 71, from Harpersfield, Delaware Co., N.Y. deposing that she was the second wife of Andrew Reckie & is his widow. She further deposes that he enlisted at Montgomery, Orange Co., N.Y. in 1776, served in Capt. Wm. Jackson's Co. for 1 yr. Under Gen. Clinton, part time as private & part as Sgt.; was stationed at Constitution Fort & West Point, N.Y. He served about 3 years in the Q.M. Dept. & was Capt. of the baggage wagons in Col. Taylor's Regt. in N.J.
She was married to Andrew Reckie Nov. 25, 1788, in Newburgh, N.Y.; her name before marriage was Submit McCrory or McCreery. Andrew Reckie died Mch. 5, 1817.

Robert English, resident of Harpersfield, Delaware Co. N.Y. Age 90 yrs. May, 1839, Feb. 7, 1840 declares that he enlisted with Andrew Reckie in the year he served in the same Co. under Capt. Wm. Jackson in 1776 or early in 1777; they returned to their homes in Montgomery, N.Y.
Feb. 7, 1840, Thomas Reckie, resident of Harpersfield, N.Y., aged 46 yrs last Aug. declares that he is a son of Submit Reckie & his father Andrew Reckie died Mch. 5, 1817. (No other family data filed).
