Agreeable to a law of the State of New York regulating common schools the monies for the Support of Schools is divided for the year 1814 as follows

Resolved as the sense of this board that the bounty of fifteen Dollars be paid for the taking and killing each and every full grown Wolf or Panther within the County of Delaware from the first Tuesday of October 1814 to the first Tuesday of October 1815- And for all others of less size half that price proved and certified before any Justice of the Peace of said County who shall crop the ears or destroy the scalp and so certify in his Certificate.



Voted that twenty five cents for mile be allowed to constables for transporting paupers



Voted that Cyrenus Gibbs Charles B Perry and James Wheeler 2nd be a committee to settle with the Treasurer of the County and report the same



Said Committee made a report and entered on the page next by one preceeding this

Resolved that the Treasurer of the County of Delaware cause the Jail and Court House to be repaired, provided that the expenditures do not exceed thirty dollars. Carried.



Resolved, that the Clerk return the amount of the real Estates of the County of Delaware to the comptrollers Office, the same as last year, excepting Franklin and Meredith and the return of those Towns to be regulated by the law annexing a part of Franklin to Meredith. Carried



Resolved, that there be no County Tax raised the ensuing year, and that the contingent expenses of the County be paid out of any money now in the Tresury not otherwise appropriated. Carried.

The Board having taken up the Subject Relative to the Equalizing the Aggregate of the Assessment Rolls of the Several Towns in this County. Resolved that the Towns of Masonville, Franklin & Sidney be taken as the Standard and that, Harpersfield and Stamford be Reduced 20 per cents, that Kortright be Reduced 25 per cent, that Roxbury be Reduced 15 per cent, that Tompkins be reduced 20 per cent that Meredith be reduced 25 per cent, and that Delhi Walton, Middletown, Colchester and Hancock be reduced 10 percent.



Resolved that a sum not exceeding 40 Dollars be appropriated for the Painting of the Court house and other repairs and that Gideon Frisbee be a Committe to superintend the Appropriation of said money--



Board adjourned until tomorrow morning 7 oclock. Friday October 4th. Met pursuant to the adjournment.



Resolved the Resolution of 1815 Relative to the Destruction of Panthers be renewed from the first Tuesday of October 1816 until the first Tuesday of October 1817.



Resolved that in compliance with the Recommend of the comptroller of this State that two Maps of this County be proved if practicably agreeable to the Comptrolers directions and that a Committee of three be appointed to make suitable enquiry & make report at the next meeting of this Board and that Mr. Downs, Mr. Keeler & Mr. St. John be of said Committee.

Resolved that it is the opinion of this Board that such sum as is found by Ira McCall Esquire to have been an error in the last years Assessment Roll may be audited as a Town Account against the Town of Franklin. Also, the sum of Eight Hundred Dollars for the contingenicies of the present year And the further sum of One Thousand Dollars provided the Committee Appointed to Contract for building a gaol in the County via Resolution of the Board of Supervisors in the year 1815 shall certify under their hands in writing to the said Clerk that they have Contracted for the building of the said gaol in Conformity to said Resolution.

In pursuance of the directions of the Comptroller of this State & in obediance to the 25th Section of the Act for the assessment and collection of taxes is



Resolved, that an accurate map of this County sufficiently designating all Patents, divisions, Subdivisions, lots & parts of lots for the purpose of the assessment & collection of taxes be prepared at the expence of the County and a copy thereof transmitted to the Comptroller & another copy thereof reported with the files of this board.



Resolved that Abel Downs and Daniel H. Burr be a committee to carry the foregoing resolution into effect and that the board will audit & allow all reasonable expences--



Resolved that when two of the rooms of the comtemplated new Jail shall be completed and approved by the Judges of the court common pleas or any three of them as good and Sufficient for the receipt of Prisoners that the commissioners heretofore appointed may remove from the front room of the present jail the plank, sheet iron, spikes & grates dispose of them to the Present contractors or any other persons, and apply the avails to finishing the same room for family use and the balance if any remain to any purpose upon the new jail they may deem proper.
