HISTORY

Note from Carolyn McPherson:
A year ago my husband and I spent three days in Delaware County--Kortright, to be exact--taking pictures of Bloomville, where my great-grandparents came from. I'm working with Patti Davidson-Peters to get those pictures online; they include photographs of the old U and D railroad line, the Blakely cemetery, some of the buildings in Bloomville, etc. This can be reached at Patti's website. In particular, I think people will be interested in Hannah Rich Peters' photograph album. I own the album; all the credit for the layout and much of the research goes to Patti. I have also donated bound copies of about 15 years of the Bloomville Mirror, including the entire Civil War, to the Kortright Town Historical Society, headed by Wilber Haynes. --Carolyn McPherson, August 8, 2008
