 This was in my grandmother's photos - on the back, it said "Ray Smith's house 1943". I assume it's Delaware County, but I don't know who Ray Smith was! --Pat Watts, Apr 2, 2004
Note: I ran a quick census search on Ray Smith. I found a W. Ray Smith in 1930 in Stamford, NY age 29. In searching SSDI records to see if there was another location all I found was a Walter Smith born 1900, possibly the same man, living in Walton at time of death. I know this isn't much information but if in the 1930 census there is a Ray Smith in Stamford this could possibly be the same Ray Smith considering the age factor. Yes I did run a census check in 1930 for a Walter Smith but only came up with a Walter J. Smith born 1876. I know this isn't much however it could possibly be a clue as there is no other Ray Smith in Delaware County that I could find in this time frame.... --Tamara Sanford, Apr 3, 2004
