Delaware County, NY Genealogy and History Site

I came across this pic of a church group. On the back it says Horton NY. The man on the left front is my Grandfather Thomas M. Lindsay. My grandmother, Minerva Hill Lindsay, is next to him. --Judy Lindsay Bell, June 4, 2004

This picture looks EXACTLY like the "old" school picture. I wonder if the church took over the school building after the newer one was built rather than the old building being torn down. Or perhaps the school met in the church building until a school was built? I do remember going to church in Horton with my grandfather, Walter J. Horton, in the early 1950's in a small building without a steeple that could well have been the same building shown in the two pictures. --Ada Marie (Horton) Prill, February 1, 2005
