Delaware County, NY Genealogy and History Site

This photo is from Hancock, NY and dated June 6, 1901 showing decorations for a "Firemen's Tournament". Standing in front of the store announcing "Welcome Boys" and "Come Again" is my Grandfather, Thomas J. McConnell who operated out of this store as a watchmaker/jeweler and optician. He was born in Ballynahinch, Ireland in 1862 and came to this country in 1894. (see also McGranaghan Building)
