HULDAH COOKE FOLLETT AND JAMES FOLLETT

This is an article that I’ve written that has been published recently in Mayflower Descendant.

The article provides proof of the line of descent of my ancestor, Huldah (Cooke) Follett – first wife of Franklin, NY pioneer settler James Follett – to several Mayflower passengers. Previously, Huldah and her four younger siblings were not recognized as children of Charles Cooke, a fifth generation descendant of Mayflower passenger Francis Cooke.

Since Huldah and James Follett had a large family, this discovery potentially benefits a large number of Delaware County families and their descendants who are now eligible to claim their Mayflower ancestry.

[The Society of Mayflower Descendants has approved my personal application with the supporting documentation provided.]

The children of James and Huldah Follett married into the following local families: Fitch, Swift, Hanford, Strong, Taylor, Root, Dewey, Hunt, and Thompson.
