This record series - 8,221 names - has proved very useful in that it frequently contains middle names, birth dates, occupation, etc. that are hard to find. The original records are on large sheets by towns, so the references given are to the town, sheet and line number thereon. Being enrolled does not indicate service in the war, only the possibility.
