Delaware County, NY Genealogy and History Site

Here is an article from the "Oneonta Star" dated Tuesday, Nov. 22, 1960, which states that Clifford Beers' remains were found in Winterspelit, Germany. He was killed in action of December 17, 1944, in the Battle of the Bulge. The remains were identified by the dog tags and miscellaneous personal effects. His remains were shipped to Davenport for burial in the Davenport Cemetery. --Linda Ogborn, April 22, 2009
