This is the William Sidney Boggs family. Standing L to R are Emily Elizabeth Boggs (my mother), Kenneth Edward Boggs, Ada Florence Boggs, Seated - Margaret Helen “Peggy” Boggs, William Sidney Boggs and Mary Elizabeth James Boggs. I’m guessing it was probably taken around 1920-22.
Wm S Boggs was a carpenter, contractor and builder. His brother, Al, and Uncle Tom and cousin, Henry Reed, worked for him. His daughter, Emily, said he built mostly barns, but he also built a number of houses in South Kortright, NY. He was employed as carpenter superintendent at the McLean estate in So. Kortright for four or five years ca 1913-1918.
In his retirement years, he went to St. Petersburg, FL in the winter and played baseball with the Three Quarter Century Club, the Kids and the Kubs. --Jean Ferrull
